Thoughtfully designed by Emma Mitchell Architects, this extension was a special project for our team. A project that allowed us to slow the process and focus on precision, craft and custom carpentry throughout.

Creative details do the heavy lifting across the new living, kitchen and dining spaces. Exposed timber rafters bring warmth overhead, while blackbutt timber windows and carefully detailed reveals frame views to the surrounding bush. Full-height custom doors with blackbutt handles, built-in banquette seating and a recycled brick fireplace hearth add texture, function and material honesty.

Polished concrete floors with hydronic heating provide year-round comfort, complemented by custom aluminum window hoods and sun blades that carefully manage light and heat across the day.

The result is a deeply considered extension celebrating craftsmanship, restraint and the quiet details that elevate everyday living.
